The Red Panda Network
The Red Panda Network saves wild red pandas and preserve their habitat though the empowerment of local communities by community-based research, education, and carbon mitigation (The Red Panda Network). In eastern Nepal they created the world's first community-based monitoring of a red panda population called Project Punde Kundo. 42 local villagers work as Forest Guardians to monitor local community forests, educate community forest user groups about red panda conservation, and work with them to achieve their forest preservation goals. Their other work extends to three other red panda home ranges: east Kachin Burma, Arunachal Pradesh India, and an awareness campaign in China. 80% of donations go directly to managing these activities and support the conservation efforts around the world. The other 20% is used to support administative costs.

World Wildlife Fund
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is one of the most known organizations around the world that helps save and protect species that are or close to becoming or are endangered. According to WWF, the red panda is an endangered species. Their mission is to stop the degradation of the planets natural enviroment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. In order to be successful in completing this mission they focus on reducing biodiversity and the ecological footprint. They try to ensure that the world remains healthy by focusing on conserving critical places and species. They also work to make sure that the natural resources needed for life (air, water, and land) are managed sustainably. Their efforts help protect the red panda and many other endagered species.

Fact: The red pandas tail is covered in red and white rings. Their tail ensures balance during movement through the forest. Also, red pandas wrap their tail around their body during the night to prevent heat loss.
